Crafts, dancing, games, facepainting... report and photos from the Cygnet Halloween Day
On Saturday 17th October 51 Cygnets and their leaders from Ferns and Dublin gathered in Harrington Street, Dublin for the Cygnet Halloween Day.
The day saw the Cygnets do four Activities: crafts, dance, games and face painting.
The Cygnets and their leaders arrived at 10.30am and the day started at 11.00am, when the girls were divided into 2 groups - one group played some Hallowe'en and Cygnet games in the hall with Michelle and some of the other leaders while the other group got their faces painted by Elaine. We had some very scary tigers and witches and some very pretty princesses and fairies. The groups then swapped over.
After a short lunch break the group started the afternoon activities - one group did some dancing with Sarah Jane, while the other made Hallowe'en masks and some witches hats. The groups swapped again. The day ended with a few more games. Everyone had a great time and all the girls went home with their mask and hat.
This was my first event as Commissioner for Cygnets and I would like to thank all the leaders for their help on the day. I look forward to seeing more people at our next event: Thinking Day 2010.
