Details

An Outdoor Advisors’ Weekend has been organised for the weekend of 9^th - 10^th February 2008. This will be held in the Grand Canal Hotel, Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 4. Accommodation for Saturday 9^th February and meals will be provided.

Training must be standardised throughout the Association and the aims of this course are to

Familiarise Trainers with the content of all Outdoor Courses (C.D.’s containing all the sessions for these courses will be given out on the weekend).
Look at all relevant forms and update if necessary.
Discuss Outdoor procedures for Campsite Assessment visits.
Find out who issues Camp Warrants and what they look like.
What training is needed for Outdoor Advisors?
Go through and familiarise all on the weekend with the updated Outdoor Policy.

Anyone attending the weekend, is asked to please bring any training course contents and handouts used by your Diocese with them, so that we can ensure that everyone is doing the same thing.

The purpose of this weekend is not to look for faults or criticise Dioceses- It is to share expertise and provide as much help as we can to Leaders who are doing a very valuable and time consuming job.

Activity Uniform to be worn on the weekend and feel free to bring a change of clothes for Saturday evening.

Cost : €30 per person to be paid in full, non refundable.

Transport: Anything over €12 will be re-imbursed to the value of the cheapest form of transport. Cars must be shared were possible.
