Congratulations to two Guides from Dublin who received prizes at the Barnardo's Volunteer Awards...

Congratulations to two of CGI's Guides from Buion Naomh Pol, Greenhills, Dublin 12, who were awarded a special runners up prize presented by Ray Darcy at the Barnardos Volunteer Awards Ceremony on Thursday 10th in the Radisson Hotel, Golden Lane.

The two Guides, Erinn Dunlea and Katie Fitzgerald both 13, were entered into the Helping Hands Competition for under 25 yr old volunteers by their Guider, Julie Devoy, for their dedication in helping out with the Cygnets & Brigini Companies in their Unit. Their Guider said "They give up their Saturday afternoons to attend the meeting and are always willing to assist with craft, enrolments, running of general week to week programme and day trips. I had to send in a report on their story detailing what they do etc and I was delighted to get a phone call from Barnardos to say that they were so impressed with the two girls that they were going to award them a special runners up prize".
