The Chief Commissioner Award (CCA) ceremony 2019, took place this year in the historic Trinity College, Dublin. It was once again a magnificent day and the sun shone for us for the most part.

Congratulation to the 39 Guides who received this year’s award: 11 girls received the highest award of Gold. 18 received Silver and 10 received Bronze. Many thanks to all their families and Guiders for mentoring the girls through their projects and on to interview stage.
The recipients entered the ceremony accompanied by Niamh Hannan from Buion Naomh Brendán, Eastern Region, who played a fantastic piece on the flute.

The Guest Speaker, Dr. Joseph Duffy, CEO of Jigsaw, gave a talk about self-esteem, being yourself and looking after your mental health.

Emily McCann, Chief Commissioner, set the challenge last year for the girls to promote positive mental health for themselves and within their Guide Unit.
