On Saturday 12th June, a gloriously sunny day, Rangers and Leaders took part in the National Ranger Day at Sheilbaggan in Co. Wexford. Following a safety talk the group started their walk from Slade Harbour along the coast. Coasteering involved swimming in the sea into caves, jumping across blow holes and the biggest challenge was to choose the height of the rock from which to jump into the sea. After lunch the group were taken to Duncannon Fort for abseiling, a huge achievement as the height from the fort to the beach was a bit daunting. We ended the day with ice-cream on the beach.
