Oisin Award

What Is it?

The Oisín Award is for registered members of CGI aged 14 – 25. This is a personal challenge and one that should be enjoyed.
There are six Elements of each award:

• Team Challenge
• Community Challenge
• Personal Challenge
• Physical Challenge
• Environmental Challenge
• Wider Guiding Community Challenge

All six elements must be completed at each level, bronze, silver, and gold to achieve the award.

For the the Gold Award, there is an additional Residential Project.

The Oisín Award can be completed as a stand-alone award by members of CGI or members can register to also take part in Gaisce – The President’s Award. 

Partnership with Gaisce

CGI has formed a partnership with Gaisce – The President’s Award.

How to Register:

• To register for the Oisín Award only, please contact the CGI National Office.

• To register for the Oisín Award and Gaisce – The President’s Award:

1.Contact the CGI National Office and you will be put in contact with an Oisin Award Leader (OAL)
2.Agree your challenges with your OAL
3.Register through the Gaisce website for the Gaisce online registration www.gaisce.ie
4.Where it asks for your GAP (Gaisce Award Partner) please go to Dublin 2, under Dublin 2 you will find CGI National Office.
5.Payment for the Gaisce Award will suffice for both awards (so payment should not be made twice)
